As long as I can remember, I’ve been playing the guitar. In my dad’s office, putting in work for countless hours. For my first few years, my dad taught me the basics. After a while, I didn’t have any motivation or desire to learn or play my instrument. I had some type of a “falling out” for a few years. I just didn’t realize that this skill my dad wanted me to have, would be so useful. Years later, when I was 11 years old, my dad came home from a choir rehearsal one night, and he somehow convinved me to come play my guitar along side him at church. So then the journey begins…
Ever since then, my musical skills, experience, and overall contentment have increased tremendously. I’ve enhanced my speed, my expressiveness, and my knowledge about music theory in general. I’ve played for a plethora of church ministries. I’ve been involved in musical programs such as MSU Versus program, and MSU Community School Dime Funk Camp. I currently play at 180 Church, in Detroit Michigan.
Churches I’ve played at:
- Abundant Life Christian Center
- Bethlehem-Judah Church
- God’s Oasis Church of God in Christ Ministries International
- Worship and Word Family Center
- Greater Emmanuel Church
- Embassy Covenant International Ministries
- 180 Church (currently employed)
